How to use the Ascema Agentlink

The Acema Agent enables you to check that everything is working right with the Ascema system and catch up on any previous alerts you may have missed.

The agent icon can be found on your taskbar at any time; if it is not immediately visible then it may be necessary to open up additional icons using the windows ^ icon.

Catching up on alertslink

To check up on any alerts you may have missed

  • Find the Ascema icon on your taskbar, you may need to expand out the icon tray as shown in the diagram
  • Right-click on the Ascema icon to bring up the agent menu

  • On the agent menu select the Last Notification option
  • The agent will then pop up the last alert shown

If there are network or connectivity problems with the Ascema Manager your administrator may ask you to check the agent details

  • Find the Ascema icon on your taskbar, you may need to expand out the icon tray as shown in the diagram
  • Right-click on the Ascema icon to bring up the agent menu

  • The first item on the menu will show your current connection state - in this example it is Connected
  • For further information Select the Configure Agent option
  • The Agent will then display its current status information. The manager address and email address details here should be as set on the manager, these should not be amended from this dialog.

Opening the Ascema Manager applicationlink

Should you need to open the Ascema Manager application to access more detailed reports you can do so through the agent

  • Find the Ascema icon on your taskbar, you may need to expand out the icon tray as shown in the diagram
  • Right-click on the Ascema icon to bring up the agent menu

  • Select the Manager UI option
  • Your browser will open a new window and the login page for the Ascema Manager will be displayed.

  • Using your Ascema username and password you may now log into the Ascema Manager.
